Introducing Friends of the Institute

As a tribute to Senator Kennedy's 47-year career, gifts of $47 and up recognize you as a Friend of the Institute.

2018 Senate Election

Senator Bob Corker

Bob Corker, retiring. On September 26, 2017, Corker announced he was not going to seek reelection in 2018, keeping a campaign promise to serve only two terms. Since his announcement, Corker has been increasingly critical of President Trump and his fellow Republicans, going so far as to claim that the GOP is experiencing a “cult-like situation” concerning President Trump. Corker’s retirement leaves an opening for Democrats to win the seat in November, though this is by no means guaranteed.
