The Cause Endures: Senator Kennedy's Legacy in the Life Sciences
At a June 20th luncheon hosted by the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate and the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) during the 2012 BIO International Conference in Boston, The Honorable Jim Greenwood, President and CEO of BIO, announced the establishment of the Edward M. Kennedy Biomedical Fund at the Institute.
The fund is designed to educate the public, and help policy makers advance the role of the United States in biomedical research, so that discoveries may be translated into breakthrough treatments.
As part of that announcement, BIO created a video to highlight Senator Kennedy’s deep commitment to the life sciences and medical research. The video, titled The Cause Endures - Senator Ted Kennedy’s Legacy in the Life Sciences, was produced by David Welch and his team at M² Multimedia Communications, Inc.
Senator Kennedy spent many years working to achieve comprehensive immigration reform. In this speech, he explained the continued urgency of the issue.
