Bill Nelson, political veteran and former astronaut, will likely face his most difficult reelection campaign since first winning his Senate seat in 2000. Florida, the perpetual and pivotal swing state, went to Donald Trump by just over 1 point in 2016. Nelson is likely to face current Governor of Florida Rick Scott.
