Given the rich content on Irish affairs within the Edward M. Kennedy Oral History Project, namely the peace and reconciliation process in Northern Ireland, the Institute hosted this program following the project’s release in September 2015. Former Senate Majority Leader and U.S. Special Envoy to Northern Ireland George Mitchell delivered the keynote address. Kelly O'Donnell, Capitol Hill Correspondent for NBC News, moderated a discussion with Senator Mitchell, Ambassador Nancy Soderberg, Mr. Niall O'Dowd, Congressman Peter King (R-NY), and Congressman Richard Neal (D-MA).
