Stands with Immigrants

This spring, the Institute is partnering with the artists of Stands With Immigrants, a photography initiative that projects large-format images of Boston immigrants and refugees upon public spaces and landmarks throughout the city in order to highlight the critical role that immigrants play in society. All of the images are photographs of actual living projections, captured in-camera by Boston photographer Erik Jacobs without compositing or digital manipulation. Through May 31, 2018, the Institute will dedicate a digital exhibition space to showcase the project’s powerful imagery, enabling visitors and students from across the country to learn about the experiences of immigrants from throughout our city.
