People Who Made a Difference / Make a Difference

Americans can create social and political change outside of the Senate too. In People Who Made a Difference, visitors will encounter a selection of inspiring stories about individuals who led transformations in our civic life such as improved access to education, civil rights, environmental protection, and health care. Visitors are also invited to amplify their own civic engagement by making a pledge to get involved in supporting or changing a topic they feel strongly about.
