About the Institute
The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate (the EMK Institute) is dedicated to educating the public about our government, invigorating public discourse, encouraging participatory democracy, and inspiring the next generation of citizens and leaders. We believe that the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate will be one of the leading organizations working to turn the tide on civic education. Offering a new model for education and outreach, the EMK Institute will invite the American public into the discourse on the challenges facing the nation. Toward that end, the EMK Institute will be a portal into the legislative process and a training ground for the decision-makers of the future.
Multimedia & Graphic Designer
The Multimedia & Graphic Designer at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate will play a key role in developing content to promote the Institute, creating assets for multiple platforms to enhance visual storytelling and marketing efforts across departments and initiatives.
The Communications Coordinator at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate will play a key role in external engagement efforts to increase awareness about the Institute, build relationships with media outlets, and bring the museum experience to life for potential visitors.
Exhibit Floor Coordinator
The Exhibit Floor Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the effective day-to-day functioning of the exhibit interpretation program at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute.
Visitor Services Coordinator
The Visitor Services Coordinator is responsible for providing effective customer service as the public face and voice of the Institute at the front desk and on the phone to EMK guests.
Reporting to the Visitor Services Manager, the Admissions Associate is a casual part-time position that is responsible for ensuring a smooth customer experience for visitors to the Institute at the Box Office by selling tickets, facilitating group check-in, accounting for payments to protect revenue, handling all customer service-related issues as they arise, answering the phone, relaying information, and ensuring that all visitors have a safe and enjoyable educational experience that communicates the Institute's mission.

The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate offers individuals the opportunity to serve Senator Kennedy’s legacy through its Education & Visitor Experience Volunteer Program.
Edward M. Kennedy Institute Education & Visitor Experience Internship Program
Senator Kennedy believed that each person possesses the power to effect positive change within his or her community. Through this internship program, the Institute aims to further the Senator’s legacy of service by developing a team of passionate and engaged interns to help advance the mission of the Institute.
