The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate (the EMK Institute) is dedicated to educating the public about our government, invigorating public discourse, encouraging participatory democracy, and inspiring the next generation of citizens and leaders. We believe that the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate will be one of the leading organizations working to turn the tide on civic education. Offering a new model for education and outreach, the EMK Institute will invite the American public into the discourse on the challenges facing the nation. Toward that end, the EMK Institute will be a portal into the legislative process and a training ground for the decision-makers of the future.
Exhibit and Content Developer
The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Exhibit Content Developer (ECD) to spearhead the creation of engaging, educational, accurate, and accessible facilitated and unfacilitated exhibit-based visitor experiences.
Group Sales and Membership Coordinator
The Group Sales and Membership Coordinator is responsible for providing effective customer service as a member of the Visitor Services team. This person will work at the front desk directly with visitors and interface with potential clients and partners.
Tier 2 - Technology Engineer (Combination of System and Network Admin)
The Edward M. Kennedy Institute’s small IT team is focused on delivering an amazing staff and visitor experience. As a Tier 2 - Technology Engineer, you are responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
Edward M. Kennedy Institute Education & Visitor Experience Volunteer Program
The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate offers individuals the opportunity to serve Senator Kennedy’s legacy through its Education & Visitor Experience Volunteer Program.
Edward M. Kennedy Institute Education & Visitor Experience Internship
Senator Kennedy believed that each person possesses the power to effect positive change within his or her community. Through this internship program, the Institute aims to further the Senator’s legacy of service by developing a team of passionate and engaged interns to work directly with the Institute’s Education and Visitor Experience team.
External Relations Paid Internship Summer 2017
The External Relations intern will assist in the creation and editing of promotional materials, maintain and update databases, and handle a range of research and special projects.
